The Creative Approach

For this OLIPOP Strawberry Vanilla series, I built the visual concept around the feeling of summertime. Saturated yellow sets and hard, sunlight-inspired lighting gave each scene a bright, sun-soaked atmosphere. Dew-like water droplets on the cans and yellow chair added a cold, refreshing contrast. I wanted that same sense of summer to carry through each setup, from clean product compositions to the more energetic pouring shot.

I planned, styled, lit, and shot the scenes, using strawberries, ice, and the yellow chair to create variety within a consistent palette. Strong directional light produced crisp highlights and defined shadows that mimicked direct sunlight, while the reflective packaging, wet surfaces, and moving liquid each presented a different challenge to capture.

In post-production, I handled the editing and retouching, keeping the color and contrast consistent across the series while preserving the details in the packaging, water droplets, and liquid. The finished images bring together a playful summer aesthetic and a range of approaches to commercial product photography.
