HI, I'M
BRYTON!

Hi, I'm Bryton! I'm a commercial photographer and filmmaker based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Currently, I'm the Senior eCommerce Photographer at Shoe Station Group, where I lead eCommerce photography across Shoe Carnival, Shoe Station, and Shoe Station @ Rogan's (B2B).

I graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor's degree, studying Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design) and Multimedia Production Communication. Having a background in both design and production has shaped how I approach my photo and video work. It's given me a different perspective on how composition, color, lighting, and visual storytelling work together to create something meaningful.

Through my work, I enjoy finding ways to tell compelling stories, whether that's capturing someone's personality, giving a product its own identity, or bringing a campaign concept to life. I think the smallest details can make a big difference in how an image looks and feels.

Over the years, my role has grown beyond being the person behind the camera. Depending on the project, I might be developing a concept, planning a shoot, directing talent, building lighting, photographing, or handling the editing and post-production. Other times, I'm directing a team and making sure we're producing consistent, high-quality imagery across a much larger operation.

I enjoy being involved in all of it. There's something rewarding about seeing an idea develop from an initial concept into a finished piece, especially when you've had a hand in shaping the process along the way.

Motion has also become an increasingly important part of my work. Photography allows me to communicate through a single frame, while video opens up opportunities through movement, pacing, sound, and the little moments in between. I've particularly enjoyed helping bring more motion production into our studio workflow and exploring how photography and video can complement each other.

Outside of my commercial work, I still enjoy filmmaking as a personal creative outlet. I also enjoy practicing French in my free time.
